Skyline Brand Ambassador Enzo Fittipaldi Officially Joins the Ferrari Driver Academy

Sponsored by the serviced apartment provider Skyline, the up and coming young racing driver Enzo Fittipaldi has officially joined the Ferrari Driver Academy.

Enzo is the fifteen year old grandson of the two-time Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi. He began racing competitively at just four years old and went on to achieve 34 victories in the junior motorsport field before joining the Douglas Motorsport team and competing in the UK’s Ginetta Junior Championship under the sponsorship of Skyline.

The young driver with the distinguished pedigree made his mark in the Ginetta by gaining 113 points in 25 races, an achievement that led to his being invited to take an evaluation test at Ferrari’s private Fiorano Circuit testing track in Italy last November.

After impressing the assessment board he was formally invited in December to take his place in the Ferrari Driver Academy for 2017.

The Academy is an initiative that was created in 2009 by Scuderia Ferrari, the world’s most successful Formula 1 team, to develop young talent with the aim of preparing them for F1 competition.

Enzo’s recruitment by the Ferrari Driver Academy was reported in the international news media. Skyline’s sponsorship resulted in the company’s logo being featured prominently on the driver’s car, helmet and racing suit, thereby raising the profile of this dynamic company still further.
